Natasha Gregson Wagner says that filming her current movie about relationships was a real eye-opener.

``The whole concept of men not being monogamous was new to me,'' she says of Two Girls and a Guy, co-starring Robert Downey Jr. and Heather Graham. ``I have this trusting feeling about men, but I realized that some men can be real jerks.'' (In the movie, two women dating Downey' s character discover they're being two-timed.)

Wagner, 27, says the men in her life are more trustworthy. ``I was raised by good men, and I believe that if we don't believe in monogamy, we're in huge trouble.''

The daughter of Natalie Wood and British screenwriter Richard Gregson, Wagner says her stepfather, Robert Wagner, who adopted her, ``is an incredibly decent man who holds relationships to be the dearest things in life. . . . One of the things my parents instilled in me was intimacy and love, and I look for that when I'm looking for someone to connect with.''

A seven-year relationship with actor Josh Evans (son of Ali MacGraw and producer Robert Evans) ended 1 1/2 years ago. ``It was time for us to move on as adults in the world,'' she says. She remains close to MacGraw.

Wagner's new beau: actor Adam Storke of ABC's Prey. ``My daddy Wagner is his godfather. I thought I had no chance because he was always with these beautiful women. I kept bugging my father to invite Adam over for dinner. He said, `I can't believe I'm your beard!' He's over the moon about me and Adam.''

Wagner says therapy has helped her cope with the untimely death of her mother.``She was such a great mom,'' she says softly. ``Therapy' s showed me how to mourn for her and be proud of her and angry and grateful. It's important to express all those emotions.''
