LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Fans of the short-lived 1998 ABC series "Prey" may get one question answered this Friday, but not in the way they expected.

"Prey" starred Debra Messing ("Will & Grace") as a scientist on the trail of a recently evolved version of humans, which is out to eradicate the earlier version from the planet. Her co-stars included Vincent Ventresca, currently the star of Sci Fi Channel's original series "The Invisible Man," as Dr. Ed Tate, and Adam Storke, who played FBI Agent (and secret super-human) Tom Daniels.

On Friday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. ET, Sci Fi Channel is airing "Deliverance, Part 1," the cliffhanger final episode of "Prey," which ended with Daniels locked in a room.

Following immediately in its regular time slot at 8 p.m. ET is "The Invisible Man," in which Ventresca plays Darien Fawkes, a thief given the ability to make himself invisible by a government experiment.

Storke makes a cameo appearance in the episode, called "Exposed," which also features a return guest appearance by Armin Shimerman ("Star Trek: Deep Space Nine").

In addition, Sci Fi Channel's Web site, scifi.com, is offering a chat with Storke on after "The Invisible Man," at 9 p.m. ET.

"They've been trying to get me to do something," says Storke, "because Sci Fi Channel runs 'Prey,' and there's a certain amount of popularity with it."

For Storke, who hadn't seen Ventresca since "Prey" ended, the appearance was short but sweet. "It's quick," he says, "it's five seconds long that I'm on there. I just thought it was funny. Vince is such a generous soul; he's a good guy. But it was brief. I just thought it would be entertaining."

Although it's been several years since the ABC series went off the air, Storke is always surprised at the number of people still interested in it -- especially those who create web sites devoted to the actor or the show.

"I was in New York," says Storke, "and a friend of mine said, 'Do you know you're all over the Internet?' I said, 'What are you talking about?" He said, 'Just do this [punch in your name],' and I was so surprised."

" I just thought the cameo appearance, as well as a tongue-in-cheek piece, is pretty much a wink to all those people who really care about 'Prey.' Where would we be without them? It's just so genuine. There's no agenda involved in it. They don't want anything in return except the enjoyment they get out of it, and God bless them."

" I can't be anything but gracious in the face of that."

Asked if he thinks there'll ever be a 'Prey' reunion movie, Storke says, 'I think there's a certain mystery and alluring quality to it, just the way it is. That's why they want more, because there's a certain ambiguity to it, and that's interesting."
